Meetings
The Stewardship Committee will meet on Thursday, February 9 at 6:00 p.m.
The United Methodist Women will meet in the fellowship hall on Monday, February 13 at 1:30 p.m. Gypsy Rollings will present the program on "Prayer and Self-denial." All women of the church are invited to join us.

Church Flowers
If you wish to provide flowers during our worship services, please contact Ruby Rollings (899-7531) She is currently filling the 2012 calendar. You may bring in flowers/arrangements from home or order throught the florist.
Open Door Sunday School Class
The Open Door Adult Sunday School Class will start a new series on Sunday, February 19, "Easter from the Back Side." This series provides fresh ideas to relate Easter to our lives. If you are interested in a study book ($7.50), contact Leah Duncan at (757) 267-9001 or email leahd2012@gmail.com. New members are always welcome in our class!
Preschool Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and Art Exhibit
The Preschool's annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper will be held on Tuesday, February 21 at 6:00 p.m. The students will also hold an art exhibit and donations will be accepted at the door.
Ash Wednesday Service - February 22 at 7:00 p.m.
Lenten Bible Study
Our Lenten Bible study will begin Sunday, February 26 at 7:00 p.m., and will be held for five Sundays during Lent. We will study Robert Schnase's Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations. If you wish to participate, please call the church office (899-7203) no later than February 13 so that we may order a study book ($15.00)
Brunswick Stew
The church is selling Brunswick stew for $8.00 per quart. Tickets are available from any Stewardship Committee member or the church office. You may pick up your stew from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25.

- Prayer Request cards are available on the window sill at the back of the sanctuary. Please place your cards in the offering plate.
- Join us for coffee and donuts every Sunday in the fellowship hall at 9:00 a.m.
- Wakefield UMC has established the "Church Family Fund" to provide special help to families in our congregation. Our goal is to raise $25,000.00. If you wish to make a donation to this fund, please make your check payable to the Wakefield United Methodist Church, and designate that it is for the "Church Family Fund."
- Our 10:30 a.m. worship service is recorded each Sunday and distributed to out of town and homebound members. If you know of someone who may benefit from hearing our worship service on CD, please contact Kathy Frierson (899-4116)
