Preschool Information and Registration Forms

We are thrilled to inform you that we are beginning our twenty-first year of operation in September 2012. It is our goal to continue to provide a loving, Christian atmosphere where children can learn and grow in all areas.

Attached to this letter you will find the information and forms necessary to register your child for the fall of 2012. Please read them carefully and sign where indicated. Feel free to contact the preschool if you have any questions.

AGE AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENROLLMENT: A child must be 3 or 4 years old by September 30, 2012. (This is the date used by the Virginia Department of Education for entrance into school). If a child does not meet the deadline, special permission from the Director/Preschool Board may be granted. All children must be toilet trained.

NON-REFUNDABLE REGISTRATION/SUPPLY FEE: The registration fee is $80.00 for the three-day program and $95.00 for the four-day program. This fee holds a place for a child and helps to cover the cost of supplies.

FORMS: Registration forms and fee are required to enroll a child. Birth certificate and Social Security number are required upon registration, and the health form is required before the first day of school.

SCHEDULE & TUITION FEES: School hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Arrival time is 8:55 a.m.

Three Days Per Week	3-year-old class: Tues./Weds./Thurs. $120/month
Four Days Per Week	4-year-old class: Mon./Tues./Weds./Thurs. $160.00/month

Tuition is due on the first school day of the month. There is no tuition deduction for holidays, sickness or inclement weather. Tuition is based on a yearly amount divided into nine (9) equal payments. Please make all checks payable to the Wakefield United Methodist Church Preschool. (WUMC Preschool) You may pay monthly, yearly or by the semester. Tuition assistance is available upon approval of the WUMC Preschool Board.

CALENDAR: The Preschool year is from September 2012 through May 2013.

• Orientation - End of August or early Sept (you will be notified by letter of the exact date)
• First Day of School - Tuesday, September 4, 2012, 9:00 a.m.
• Vacations - Two weeks at Christmas and one week at Easter.
